At Wright State University, Dr. Grandhi has launched an internationally recognized research program. This includes a research team of collaborating faculty, staff engineers and graduate students currently working on several externally funded projects. Dr. Grandhi's research sponsors include the U.S. Air Force, the Federal Aviation Administration, national Science Foundation, NASA, DARPA, the Center for Artificial Intelligence Application, the Edison materials Technology Center, General Motors, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Caterpillar, Inc., and UES, Inc.
Dr. Grandhi's team has researched in several areas of engineering with tremendous breadth across a variety of disciplines. He has notable accomplishments in metal forming, process control, computational mechanics, structural optimization, and structural reliability design. A great deal of Dr. Grandhi's research concentrates on developing fundamental understanding and new methods of synthesis. Take a look at the following links below for some of Dr. Grandhi's research projects.
